Lea's personality, along with his generations, has shifted rather considerably from one end of the spectrum to the other, and then back again.

Generation I

The original form and personality of Lea.

His demeanor during this time would have been one of substantial caution, staggered speech, and considerable timidness. His brief time in Eorzea as well as trying to learn the language and not let the blood rage consume him took up most of his mind's power, thereby leaving him rather nervous and shy around others. He didn't tend to associate with anyone and prefered to be a lone operator, not making waves and not impressing anyone too much.

Ilysian helped him come out of his shell some, helping Lea learn how to be more friendly and guiding him in the manner of being social in Eorzean. After some time, he was perhaps too social a butterfly, sharing things Illy had to remind him not to share, and being confused by the notions of Eorzean social customs.

Illy's loss caused him untenable agony, despite his trying to maintain a candor about his situation. It was obvious from friends' observations he was doing poorly, having gone back to surviving rather than thriving. This changed considerably after the soul collection of his late wife and kit.

Generation II

The form of Lea after the souls of Ilysian and the unborn kit, Liza, co-inhabited his body.

Lea's personality had a marked shift once combined with his late wife and child, taking on aspects of both his and Illy's personality, as well as some basic emotional bursts of Liza. He was prone to intense excitement over seemingly little things, as well as having a combined manner of speech mimicing that of his late wife and himself.

Illy's combination with him gave him three gifts for which he would always state he could never repay her enough for. Her eyes became his eyes, making the near-blind boy able to see with perfect clarity. Her ease became his inner peace, as she calmed the beast within him and gave him a grace under fire he'd never known before. And finally, her understanding became his, allowing him to struggle no further in speaking to others in the common tongue.

These gifts gave him a confidence unlike many he'd known before, as would agree his friends. Unfortunately, the combination of three souls in one body served only to remind him he was still longing for something he once had. He made the decision to bear it no longer, and decided to both leave for the aether with them, and leave something behind as a truly merged soul, not what he was now.

Generation III

The current iteration of Lea, otherwise known as Illea.

This personality of Lea is a little more standoffish than the prior two personalities, as it is a proper amalgamation of all the personalities that came before. Lea retains much of his confidence, but considering most of him and his other two souls went to the aether, there is still much for the new Lea to have to catch up on when it comes to his progenitor's life.

Considering the relative age and independence of the new Lea's soul, he is often brought into conflict simply from not understanding someone, especially close friends, purely because he only has secondhand knowledge to go off, not anything directly experienced.

One might be cautious around this Lea, as he may be rather blunt when in conversation.
